Mercedes-Benz debuted the second version of the AMG GT at Pebble Beach Automotive Week. The sleek new car comes after earlier versions like the GT 2-Door and the GT 4-Door Coupe.
The company updated the line's athletic vibe while maintaining it with a 2+2 seat layout for the 2017 Mercedes-AMG GT Coupe. Additionally, it has modern technology, safety measures, and an overall close-to-the-ground, fashionable appearance. Mercedes' digital headlamp technology has taken the role of the stock headlights.
The GT 63 Coupe, which has 577 horsepower, and the GT 55 Coupe, which has 469 horsepower, are the two model possibilities that the business revealed. Both engines now have brand-new oil pans and intercoolers as engine improvements.
The spoiler will adopt five different angles when the GT Coupe is moving faster than 50 mph in order to lessen drag and enhance handling. Meanwhile, a new ride control suspension will come standard with rear-axle steering.
Both vehicles have not yet been given a price, but earlier versions started at more than $100,000 USD. The upcoming months should see the release of further information.
