OPPO Announces The Reno11 Series Coming Soon In Malaysia

The most recent smartphone from OPPO, the Reno11 Pro, which was just released in China, was found to have been added to the SIRIM database back in late November. The official confirmation of the series' imminent arrival in Malaysia was made by the company just today.

The date of the event, which is scheduled for January 13, 2024, has not yet been disclosed, but OPPO Malaysia's website is intriguingly hinting to it. It is tied to ColorOS 14 and Grab. It's unknown if this is hosted independently or at the same time when Malaysia launches the Reno11 series. The event will feature, among other possible revelations, an integration of Grab's e-hailing service on OPPO's mobile platform, according to the poster image.

Regarding the phones itself, there will be two versions available for the Reno11 series. The aforementioned high-end Pro variant and the regular model are among them. Since SIRIM's database currently has both models listed, it is reasonable to infer that they will make their debuts together during the Malaysian launch.

For now, let's review their specifications. A 6.7-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 950 nits is featured on the vanilla Reno11. It is powered by a 4,800 mAh battery that requires 67W of charging and is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 CPU.

With a peak brightness of 1,600 nits, the 6.74-inch 120Hz OLED panel on the Pro model is significantly larger. Its 4,700mAh battery is smaller than last year's model, but it makes up for it with support for quicker 80W charging and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU.

With a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 32MP portrait camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 32MP self-portrait camera with autofocus, the imaging configurations of the two versions are almost the same. The Pro differs from the normal model in that it has a premium Sony LYT-700 sensor, while the latter has a Sony LYT-600.
